Product Info:

Hydroxyzine HCl is an antihistamine that blocks the effects of histamines in the body. It can also be used to depress the activity of the central nervous system. This medication inhibits the action of histamines by preventing swelling, itchiness, hives, rashes, anxiety disorders, and tension in stressful situations. Hydroxyzine HCl binds to H1 receptors, a type of histamine binding receptor, that affect small blood vessels and smooth muscles. When histamines bind to H1 receptors, it causes blood vessels to dilate, and fluid begins to leak out, causing swelling and itchiness. Hydroxyzine HCl prevents the histamines from binding to the H1 receptors, providing relief for your pet.
